DevOps Engineer – Contract

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and automation processes with moderate independence. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in cloud platforms, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and infrastructure automation, while collaborating closely with development teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support development and release processes.
  • Implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Monitor system performance and manage cloud cost optimization initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support production environments when required.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define and implement deployment strategies.
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security across environments.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant industry experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture best practices.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
  • Solid scripting abilities (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desired Skills

  • AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate, DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or DataDog.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
